This was my first venture into this kind of fiction - I don't know what you'd call it. Magic realism? Abstract literature? And to tell the truth I don't know what lured me to this author at all.
I bought The Wind-up Bird Chronicle before I bought this one, but I ended up reading this on first of all. Well the gamble worked I actually enjoyed both of them. Especially this one although I will need to read it again I see. It left a lot of unanswered questions and ideas but I enjoyed it, for all it was completely bizarre.
I won't go much further into it then this because it's been a while since I've read it. Only, I really enjoyed Haruki Murakami's style of writing, even though of course I read it through an English translation.
