My sister sent me this book to read and I didn't expect to like it. Barbara Kingsolver has a beautiful way of writing though, almost lyrical that entraps you into this story.
I loved the voices of the sisters, they all sounded different and real. In fact I began to think in their accents as well as reading in it. I think that is a sign of a fantastic author that they can make you hear the accent, one that perhaps you wouldn't otherwise be able to imagine easily.
I want to read it again. I've since read another Kingsolver book - Prodigal Summer which was even better and I really want to read more.
