I don't know what it is about Ishiguro, but I just felt compelled to read this, even though it's a bit slow and dribbles here and there.
He's a fantastic author and I want to read more. I wouldn't say this is a great story, I can't say I really cared what happened next, but reading it was so easy and beautiful I just felt compelled.
I stopped and started it but each time I went back I enjoyed it. It certainly isn't something I'd say I enjoyed, but I liked it enough. He's a very good author.
